Tools and partswhen the line needs them.

Fortus 450mc turns CAD into dense thermoplastic toolpaths. A heated chamber controls thermal behaviour, while two model and two support bays keep long, unattended builds running.

Why we run it

  • Factory-floor reliability. A workhorse platform built for repeatable output across long production runs.
  • High-temperature polymers. ULTEM™ 9085, ULTEM™ 1010 and Antero™ alongside ABS, ASA and polycarbonate.
  • Accurate, consistent parts. Controlled chamber conditions support dimensional performance from build to build.
  • Right-sized builds. Mid-size parts and batches run here, keeping the F900 free for large work.

Built for repeatableproduction.

Controlled chamber conditions, high-performance thermoplastics and an automated FDM workflow.

Heated build chamber

Controlled chamber temperature supports dimensional stability and high-temperature materials.

Material versatility

From ABS and ASA to Nylon 12CF, Antero™ and ULTEM™ resins on the same platform.

Extended operation

Automatic material changeover across two model and two support bays supports long unattended builds.

GrabCAD and Insight

Prepare, manage and fine-tune toolpaths through GrabCAD Print™ and Insight™.

Where the Fortusearns its place.

Tooling, functional parts and replacements where conventional lead times are measured in weeks.

Nylon 12CF soft jaws holding a metal component in a machine vice

Jigs, fixtures and workholding

Custom soft jaws, locating fixtures and assembly aids in Nylon 12CF and other engineering thermoplastics.

Custom FDM polymer structural component

Custom polymer components

Complex structural and cosmetic parts built directly from CAD, with no tooling to pay for.

Engineer holding a functional FDM prototype housing

Functional prototypes

Test form, fit and function in a production-grade material before committing to tooling.

Air-conditioning unit with replacement FDM duct components

Legacy replacement parts

Rebuild obsolete geometry from a scan or drawing and make the replacement in ASA or Nylon 12CF.

How it fitsour production workflow.

The machine is one step. Engineering, finishing and inspection happen under the same roof, with one point of contact.

  1. Send the part

A CAD file, a drawing, or photos and the old part. Tell us what it does and how many you need.

  2. Process and quote

An engineer confirms the Fortus 450mc is the right machine, recommends the material and sends price and date.

  3. Print on the Fortus 450mc

We orient, nest and build the part, keeping the build record with the job.

  4. Finish and inspect

Supports come off, the part is finished as specified and critical dimensions are checked.

Fortus 450mc or F900: which will you use?

Parts that fit within 406 × 355 × 406 mm usually run on the Fortus 450mc; larger parts go to the F900. Both run the same core engineering materials, so we choose by size, quantity and schedule.

Which materials can it print?

Fifteen of our FDM materials, including ULTEM™ 9085, ULTEM™ 1010, Antero™ 800NA, Nylon 12CF, ASA and ABS-ESD7. FDM Nylon 6, TPU 92A and PPSF run on the F900.

How accurate are the parts?

Stratasys states a typical accuracy of ±0.127 mm. Achieved accuracy depends on geometry, material and orientation, so critical dimensions are agreed and checked.

Can you make a single fixture?

Yes. There is no tooling cost, so one-off jigs, fixtures and soft jaws are economical. Send the part they hold, or its CAD, and tell us how the tool is used.

Bring us the part.

Send a drawing, a CAD file, or photographs and the old part. Tell us what it does, how many you need and when.
