EOS P 396Complex nylon parts, in batches.

Selective laser sintering for functional polymer parts. No support structures, so channels, clips and whole batches build in a single powder bed.

No supports.No tooling. Just parts.

A CO₂ laser fuses polymer powder one cross-section at a time. The surrounding powder holds every part during the build, so complex nested batches and moving assemblies come out in one cycle.

Why we run it

  • Support-free geometry. Internal channels, snap-fits and lattices without support marks to remove.
  • Efficient batches. Many different parts nest in one build, which keeps unit costs down.
  • Functional nylon. PA 11 and PA 12 grades, plus flame-retardant, glass-filled and flexible options.
  • Spares on demand. Approved files can be rebuilt when the next part is needed.

Built for polymerproduction.

Build capacity, a broad polymer portfolio and an industrial SLS workflow in one platform.

Powder-supported builds

Surrounding powder supports parts during the build, so no printed supports are needed.

Nested batch production

Pack many different parts into one 340 × 340 × 600 mm build volume.

Fast, productive laser

A 70 W CO₂ laser, scan speeds up to 6 m/s and efficient recoating keep batches moving.

Connected production

EOSCONNECT supports integration and digital monitoring across the workflow.

Curved channels and integrated features that would need several moulded parts.

SLS nylon brackets and lattice parts in the powder bed

Brackets, clips and lattices

Repeat batches of small parts nested in one build, with no supports to remove.

On-demand spare parts

Replacement parts produced from approved files when you need them, with no minimum order.

How it fitsour production workflow.

The machine is one step. Engineering, finishing and inspection happen under the same roof, with one point of contact.

  1. Send the part

A CAD file, a drawing, or photos and the old part. Tell us what it does and how many you need.

  2. Process and quote

An engineer confirms the EOS P 396 is the right machine, recommends the material and sends price and date.

  3. Print on the EOS P 396

We orient, nest and build the part, keeping the build record with the job.

  4. Finish and inspect

Powder comes off, the part is finished as specified and critical dimensions are checked.

Anything else? See all FAQs

When do you choose SLS over FDM?

SLS suits complex small to mid-size parts, internal channels and batches, because nothing needs supports. FDM suits larger parts and high-temperature grades such as ULTEM™. Tell us what the part does and we recommend the process.

Do you have flame-retardant SLS materials?

Yes. Our library includes PA 2210 FR, PA 2241 FR and ALM FR-106. Any certification your application requires is confirmed per order.

What surface finish do SLS parts have?

Parts come out with a matte, slightly textured surface once the powder is removed. We can sand, prime and paint parts to your colour standard.

How many parts can you build at once?

Anything from a single part to a full build of nested components. Quantity, part size and cooling time determine how many fit in one 340 × 340 × 600 mm build.

Bring us the part.
